Hotel Tisza*** is located in the heart of Szeged, on Szechenyi square, in a 120-year-old building, as one of the most luxurious hotels of the city.

Hotel

The hotel was built in 1885 by the plans of Nandor Jiraszek and Lipot Krausz. The hotel was given the name "Tisza" in honour to president Kalman Tisza, when it was opened in 1886. In 1949 the hotel was closed down, then after a renovation at a great expense, it was reopened on 1963. The new owners refurnished the hotel, maintaining its historical atmosphere and installing many modern conveniencies in an ambience still reminding the turn of the century. Parking is possible in a guarded car park. Pets welcome.

Rooms

All rooms are equipped with color SAT TV and telephone. Anti-allergic and non-smoking rooms are available. 
Room with shower: has a shower, equipped with ordinary furniture, toilette on the corridor. 
Classic room: has a bathroom (shower or bathtub) with toilette, equipped with ordinary furniture and CARDO mattress. 
Superior room: has a bathroom (only bathtub) with toilette, equipped with colonial style furniture, air conditioning and CARDO mattress. 
Suite: has a bathroom (only bathtub) with toilette, equipped with colonial style furniture, air conditioning and CARDO mattress.

Conferences

The speciality of hotel is that its’s 6 halls provide the best variety in size, atmosphere and usage, among which the Concert and Mirror Hall are uniquely representative. Several national and internaional programmes, conferences and congresse have been organized in the magnificent halls. Historic atmosphere, wonderful acoustics provides the perfect place for the personal and business meetings.
