Visitors to Szeged from Budapest can travel by coach, by train or by car. The coach leaves from Nepliget ('Nepliget' station on Metro line 3). The journey takes about 3 hours. Budapest has direct rail link to Szeged from the Western Railway Station (Nyugati Palyaudvar). The railway station can be accessed by the metro ('Nyugati pu.' on Metro line 3). Taking the InterCity train is the fastest and the most comfortable way to travel between Szeged and Budapest. The journey takes about 2 and a half hours, by InterCity it takes less than 2 and a half hours. InerCity departs four times a day.
